The automatic control system can not only detect the surrounding cells automatically, but also adjust the pressure control micro thruster to automatically detect the increase or decrease of electrode resistance of cell electrode, automatically detect neurons and form high resistance sealing. G ohm sealing, membrane breaking and recording software automatically calculate and automatically control without human intervention.

When the electrode enters the experiment, the system can control and automatically calculate the positive pressure output accurately. After the cell is formed with high resistance sealing, the system can automatically calculate and accurately control the negative pressure output.

The system can sequence single cells and experiment rats under awake and anaesthesia.

The system can also be used in the experiment of tissue slice in vitro. The software control is simple, convenient and flexible, and has a wide scalability.

Operation:

The control system can be used with the software developed by our company. It will issue appropriate serial commands to the control unit during operation to obtain the whole cell record. These commands are listed here for reference or part 3 development.

The software also controls the motor position connected to the probe, which works in collaboration with Newport pzc200 KT.

The computer control pressure system in the control unit can switch between the patch clamp and the four discrete pressures of each stage of the following serial command:

The control system also has breakthrough command, which can apply high negative pressure to electrode (MS) according to the interval time specified by the user

For example, set the break through command:

breakIn,300

“Breakin” is the instruction, 300 is the length of time, in milliseconds, and high negative pressure will act on the electrode.

There is also an embedded relay control unit, switch, analog output for the internal command connection of patch clamp amplifier, and the internal data and external input signals between the analog output of the switch are connected to the analog BNC connected to the front panel. Here is the command to switch the relay.
